Reading: Matthew 7:7-8, 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Are you a man who asks God for guidance and strength? Or, do you think you can do things on your own? Do you ask for directions?
The disciples always had issues about their own needs being met. Jesus made it clear to them that God alone can meet all their needs.
“God’s help is always available, but it is only given to those who seek it”
- Max Lucado
When we lift our hearts to God, we open ourselves to a divine source of wisdom and love. Do you have questions about your future? Do you have needs you can’t meet by yourself? Do you seek to know God’s purpose for you? If so, ask Him. Ask Him for directions, for protection and for strength. It doesn’t matter the size of the need, pray about it and never lose hope. God is not just close by, He is here and He’s capable of answering your prayers. It’s up to you to ask.
What things are you holding to so tightly that you have not allowed God to have control?
In what areas do you need help but have not asked God for that help?
How will you give God control of everything today and seek Him for help?
