Reading: Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Have you noticed how fast things are changing; cell phones, IPODS, TVs, even commercials flash at warp speed. At times I feel I can’t keep up. But… and there is always a “but”, I have good news. Even if your world is constantly changing, our God doesn’t.
We can be comforted in knowing that our heavenly Father is the Rock that cannot be shaken. His Word promises, “I am the Lord, I do not change.” (Malachi 3:6, NKJV)
Every day for us, we are going to encounter changes; some good, some not so good and some downright scary. On those occasions when we must endure life changing losses that knock us off balance, there is a place we can run to for comfort and assurance. We can always run to God. Our God stands ready to protect us, to comfort us, to guide us, and, in time, to heal us. God’s purpose for you today is never to be overwhelmed with the world around us. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith.
