Reading: Isaiah 41:10, So don't worry, because I am with you. Don't be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you.
Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Courage faces fear and thereby masters it. Cowardice represses fear and is thereby mastered by it.”
A huge storm came quickly on the sea of Galilee, and the disciples were afraid. Although they had witnessed many miracles, the disciples feared for their lives. So, they turned to Jesus and He calmed the waters and the wind. Now that’s a lifeguard. The next time you find yourself facing a huge storm, remember that the One that calmed the wind and the waves is your personal lifeguard, your rescuer, your Savior and He knows you by name. Then ask yourself which is stronger, your faith or your fear.
The answer should be obvious. So, when the storm clouds form overhead and you find yourself being tossed by the sea, remember this: where ever you are God is there too. He’s watching and He’s always on duty. And, because He cares for you, you are protected.
What “storms” are you experiencing in your life?
How can you face those storms head on?
What may God be trying to teach you through those storms?
REVIEW
How were you able to give the storms that you are experiencing over to God and hit them head on?
How could you see God in the storm?
