Sing Praise!, Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Reading: Psalm 100 , 1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Have you ever watched a football game that went down to the wire and exclaimed, “What a great game!” Have you gone to dinner at a restaurant and told your friends about the greatest steak you’ve ever had? Men, how often do we spend time to truly sing about the Lord? We may not have the best voices, but let others know that the Lord is awesome.

Why do we tend to exclaim praise and adoration for things that are so temporary?

Genuinely, ask yourself, why is it easier for you to tell someone about how great something is that really only carries temporary value?

In what ways do you believe God is great?

Do you really believe those things?

Challenge: Take time today to tell someone how great God is. God is Great!

REVIEW

How were you able to share how great God is?

How did others respond to your praise of God? How did you feel after sharing God’s praises?
