Reading: Proverbs 19:11, Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life—even though invisible to spectators—is with Christ in God. He is your life.
Throughout Scripture there is a lot of insight concerning anger. Take time to reflect on these verses from the Word of God in light of your relationship with others, especially for those who are married.
- A short-tempered man is a fool. He hates the man who is patient. (Proverbs 14:17)
- A quick-tempered man starts fights; a cool-tempered man tries to stop them. (Proverbs 15:18)
- It is a better to be slow-tempered than famous; it is better to have self-control than to control an army. (Proverbs 16:32)
- A fool gets into constant fights. His mouth is his undoing! His words endanger him. (Proverbs 18:6-7)
- A short tempered man must bear his own penalty; you can’t do much to help him. If you try once you must try a dozen times. (Proverbs 22:24-25)
- Anger doesn’t make us good, as God demands that we must be. (James 1:20)
God’s Word when implemented brings about positive change.
Challenge: Pray for guidance on how to apply the Scriptures in a positive way.
