Getting What He Wants
 
 
Reading:Proverbs 16:9, People may make plans in their minds, but the Lord decides what they will do.
 
If you are like most men, we like being in control. We want things to happen according to what we want and according to our timetables. But, sometimes, God has other plans… better plans! And, I’m sure you’ve noticed He always has the final word. Are you angry or hurt by a personal tragedy that you didn’t deserve and still cannot understand?
 
If so, it’s time, friend, it’s time to make peace with God and the life that He has chosen for you. It’s time to forgive others and, if necessary, it’s time to forgive yourself. It’s time to accept the past, because we can’t change it. It’s time to embrace the priceless present and to have faith in the promise of tomorrow. It’s time to trust God completely and to reclaim the peace, His peace, which He is offering to you.
 
We all have circumstances that are beyond our power to control. Accept those circumstances and trust God. We have a comfort in knowing that our Creator is both loving and wise and that He understands His plan for you, even in the moments when you don’t.
