Reading: Philippians 1:3-6, 3I thank my God every time I remember you. 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Can you imagine driving downtown Sacramento and seeing a massive construction site for a skyscraper? Seeing someone who appears to be the Construction Supervisor, you walk up to him and say, “Hey, what’s going on here?” “Uh, who are you?”, he’d reply. “Well, I was just passing by… and I just noticed some of this stuff that you’re putting in… and, I don’t know, it just doesn’t look right.” “Uh, sir… first of all, we’re not done yet; and, secondly, do you even know anything about construction, especially that of a skyscraper?” You start backing away, “Well, uh, not necessarily… but, it just doesn’t look right.” To which he says, “Sir, I have built many skyscrapers and I have the blueprints. I have mastered construction. Please leave it for us to do.”
As absurd as it may seem to do that. We often try to challenge the Master Builder of our lives, who has already proven Himself and, not only has the blueprints to our lives, but He had them drawn from the foundation of the world. My brother, don’t get down or discouraged by where you are in your life. Your Master Builder has a plan for you, and when He has begun a good work in you, He is not just a job starter, but a job finisher. Let Him perform His work in you.
What areas in your life are you becoming frustrated or discouraged?
How can you give those to the Lord today?
REVIEW
Were you able to live in His comfort that He will take your areas of frustration and discouragement, and create something amazing in your life?
