Where Is Your Focus?
Reading:Hebrews 12:2, Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Where is your focus today? What do you have ahead for yourself?
This day… and every day hereafter… is your chance to celebrate the life that God has given you. It’s also a chance to give thanks to the One who has offered you more blessing than you can possibly count. Let me ask you again… what is your focus today? Are you willing to focus your thoughts and energies on God’s blessings and upon His will for your life? Or, will you turn your thoughts to other things… things that don’t really matter?
The choice is yours. Today why not focus your thoughts on the joy that is rightfully yours in Christ? Why not take time to celebrate God’s creation around you? Trust your hopes instead of your fears.
When you do, you will become more joyful... easier to be around. When you think optimistically about your future, that God holds your joy will become contagious, and you can then share your optimism with others.
Fix your eyes on Jesus.
So, men, where is your focus today?
