Reading: Philippians 2:5-8, 5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Have you ever been in a situation where you had more experience, more knowledge, more education and/or more understanding than a particular individual? Then, that person comes walking up to you that you KNOW couldn’t possibly know what you know, at which point they begin telling you what to do or give the impression that they know more about it than you do? Now, picture the creator of the universe… humbling Himself to come down to be the baby, the student, the servant, the condemned one, the crucified one.
What was His attitude like and give illustrations?
What is your attitude like or would it be like in that same scenario?
In what areas do you need to work on and demonstrate humility today?
In general?
At work?
At home?

An old Chinese proverb say's"better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt". Remember James 1:19 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to be made angry,20..for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
ReplyDeleteLearning to only fear the Lord and not fear what others might think stupid coming out of my mouth in prayer. Recognizing fear has been holding me back from my walk with the Lord.
