Oh No You Didn't Wednesday, April 6 2011

Oh, No You Didn’t!

Reading:Proverbs 22:24-25, Don't hang out with angry people; don't keep company with hotheads. Bad temper is contagious— don't get infected.

It’s tough… but, face it… sometimes people can be down right rude! Very rude! I was just cut off on the freeway and the driver not only didn’t offer me a polite nod saying, “I am so sorry, sir, was I ever in the wrong.” Instead, He extended a finger, one finger mind you, and the last time I checked it doesn’t signify that he was telling me that I’m number one. What’s a man of honor suppose to do?

When other people are jerks to you, we are so tempted to strike back either verbally or in some other way. Don’t do it!

Instead, remember that God correct other people’s behaviors in His own way and He doesn’t need your help, no matter how much you may think He does.

So, when other people behave cruelly, foolishly or impulsively, don’t be a hothead. Instead, speak up for yourself as gentle as you can and walk away. Then, forgive everybody as quickly as you can and leave the rest up to God. A mans is not defined by what someone does to him. A man is defined by how he responds.

What are some ways that you tend to find yourself responding badly?

Have you been treated badly lately, if so, how?

How will you let God handle that, instead of taking it into your own hands?

REVIEW

How did you let God handle the people who are doing you wrong today?

How did this impact your responses today?
