Waters of Change, Tuesday April 12, 2011

Waters of Change

Reading: Psalm 37:3, Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Have you ever been in a place where the winds of change have swept you into uncharted waters? Need a compass? Are you lost? We all find ourselves in uncharted waters from time to time; “I’ve never had an argument like that”, “I’ve never lost my job before”, or raised kids, or been physically hurt this bad, or I’ve never lost a parent. We’ve all been there.

You don’t have to find God’s voice exactly for your situation today. Our job is not to take a magnifying glass and search through all the haystacks of life to find the needle of God’s will. Our responsibility is to find God and draw near to Him. Follow Him, seek Him, more than seeking for answers for your life.

There is a trusted navigational tool that can help guide you through any troubled waters... the compass of God’s Word. Most people who are desperate for direction will sail into any port to get directions. Don’t do it! The Bible is the true map and a rudder for our journey.

“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it”,
Psalm 37:5

What uncharted water are you “sailing” in?

Even though you may be becoming impatient, are you willing to wait on God to guide you?

Have you sought our navigational tool, God’s Word, for answers?

What will you do today to focus on drawing close to God and letting Him steer the boat?
End of the Day Review

How did you focus on drawing close to God and let Him steer the boat?

How did this impact your journey through uncharted waters?
